Some people have the ability to partially or completly tackle home reno projects. This may come from previous work in the field, or by helping a family member or friend at their home. One thing that is sometimes overlooked is the calling for utility locates. Utilities are the services that connect your home with Natural Gas, Electricity, Water, Sewer, Phone and Television Networks. Its is the law to call for these services to be located prior to the start of the project. It usually takes up to 5 business days to get them all done. The best part that the locating servive is free up to the metering system in your home. Anything past the meter i.e. a seperate gas line that runs to your pool heater will have to be paid for.
